National Fire Academy Handoff Courses
The Illinois Fire Service Institute through a FEMA / NFA grant, is pleased to announce the availability of seventeen National Fire Academy Classes. These 12-16 hour classes are offered at no charge to local fire departments. They will be delivered, on request, by IFSI instructors using National Fire Academy curriculum. Individuals successfully completing these classes will receive a National Fire Academy certificate. Each of these classes requires a minimum of 25 students.
To request these classes, please use the Illinois Fire Service Institute's Training Request Form. Please allow a 30 day lead time so we have ample time to arrange the appropriate instructor and complete all necessary paperwork. The list of classes that are currently available are:
